This is my very favorite photo of myself from 2024 – not because it’s fun and cute and a little sexy – but because of how insanely happy I look. I was on the north coast of Egypt, moments ago we’d witnessed an incredible sunset, and I was just about to explode with freedom & joy (my two favorite things). But the very best part?! I realized that the joy was coming from me not to me.
This was a enormous paradigm shift – rather than giving other things (people/situations/external items) credit for bringing me joy, I realized that those things are pointing to the joy that already exists within me:
which means that I can access it
whenever I want!
And THAT is exactly what I want for myself in 2025 – and it’s what I want for you! I want more moments like this. I want to live from this place on purpose.
I want to remember the power that I have to choose my focus, which directly dictates how I’m feeling in each moment. I want to remember that the beauty, the joy, the love – all of the things! – they all come from within. May we use each other & all of the gorgeous aspects of being alive as gentle reminders of this as we settle into another trip around the sun.
