Description
Yin yoga is the practice of still, active stretching. Poses are held for a longer duration to allow time for tissues to release tension & and energy to flow smoothly. Yin yoga is about releasing physical and mental resistance, deepening awareness, being present and finding surrender in the moment.
Yin is sometimes referred to as Taoist Yoga because it blends with ancient Chinese understandings of health and vitality. The poses are held with the intention of harmonizing energies, emotions, elements and organs associated with the meridians.
Learn how to teach safe & meaningful yin yoga classes while holding space for your students to fully engage in the benefits of the practice.
