goddess retreat!

welcome to an african desert goddess retreat like no other!

rediscover your joie de vivre in style

are you ready for the most convenient, hassle-free dream come true?

Morocco is ancient, gorgeous, and wild, and it can be overwhelming — so I’ve done all the heavy lifting for you! After visiting several times myself and teaming up with local guides and travel experts, I’ve crafted an itinerary with the dreamiest, most adventure-filled whirlwind of experiences — and all you have to do is show up and come along for the ride! The colors, the sounds, the spices, and the beauty of Morocco is at your doorstep — and we’ve taken care of every little detail so you can adventure and experience in a carefree, zero-stress way.

This nomadic retreat experience has been carefully curated to allow you to take a deep dive into the magic, the mythical, and the rich culture of Morocco through visiting four separate locations: Marakech, Ait Ben Haddou, Erg Chegaga (in the middle of the dunes!) and Ouarzazate. Everything has already been arranged: all meals, adventures, lodging, and transportation — from the moment you arrive in Marrakech to the moment you leave at the end of 9 brilliant, transformative days.

prepare for your
senses to explode

…as you dive headfirst into a world bursting with ancient mystery, rich history, and raw beauty. Together, we will be taken (with expert guides & private drivers) from one 5-star hotel to the next, as we explore everything from the wonders of the giant dunes of the Moroccan Sahara, the colorful, maze-like alleys of the Marrakech medina, and the tranquil zen gardens of our countryside retreat center just minutes from Marrakech.

This retreat will offer an astounding variety of experiences that will ignite your sense of wonder, spark your childlike imagination, and reconnect you with our shared web of humanity. I am so proud of and excited for this wild adventure I’ve crafted — and I can’t wait to share it with you! Thank you for trusting me to show you the world.

OVERVIEW

Our journey will begin in the quiet country outside Marrakech. We’ll spend our first few nights here, you can settle in, rest/recover from jetlag, and have the chance to sign up for a Hammam massage! We’ll even take some time to explore the bustling Marrakech Medina.

And then we’ll head toward the Sahara Desert, stopping first in the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we’ll spend the night near one of the oldest Kasbahs in Morocco!
From there, we’ll head toward Erg Chegaga Camp – our very own camp in the middle of some of the biggest dunes in the Moroccan Sahara! You’ll have the chance to try your hand at sand surfing, we’ll ride camels through the dunes at sunset, and even visit a traditional nomad family.
We’ll then journey back to Marrakech, stopping in Ouarzazate on the way. We’ll enjoy our final night in Marrakech in the new city, celebrating our time together with an incredible final dinner and dance party!

YOUR retreat LEADER

Hi, I’m Brittany! I’ve been teaching yoga since 2008 and opened The Yoga Underground in 2010. I love the way that traveling gives me the opportunity to practice my yoga off the mat, as it forces me to expand my perspective and see things (and myself) in a new and different way. Traveling has also been incredibly empowering to me; each time I navigate a new airport in a new country, the world opens up to me a little more and I feel so alive! I travel to see the world, but I also travel to see myself — and myself within the world. Our web of humanity is somehow simultaneously enormous but also quite small and intimate. Together, we all want to love and be loved, we want to share, and we want to connect. And in this way we are all the same. We are one.

Leading retreats all over the world has become one of my favorite things to do, as I love watching retreaters’ minds open as they experience things for the first time. I’d be honored for you to trust me enough to show you some of my favorite hidden gems across the world — and now Morocco is at the top of my list!

activities
& excursions

Throughout our time in Morocco, you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities and adventures, designed to tickle all of your fancies — reconnect with your inner child as you allow yourself to explore and experience things for the first time, all in a safe and supportive group of like-minded humans. Cultivate that sense of childlike wonder as we:
  • wander and shop in the maze-like alleys of the colorful Marrakech medina
  • sleep under the stars — glamping style — in the Sahara Desert
