the art of creating space

For a long time I thought my work was yoga:
Teaching yoga.
Leading yoga retreats.
Training yoga teachers.

And yes — those things hold space in my heart.

But over the years, as I’ve peeled back the layers of what I actually love about this work, I’ve realized something deeper is happening.

Yoga is just the doorway.
What I’m really doing — what I’ve been quietly practicing for the last sixteen years — is creating spaces where people remember themselves.

And just to be clear…
I’m never going to tell you what to do.
Ever. ❤️
But I will ask you questions.
I’ll invite you into conversations that open something inside you. I’ll create environments that are curious enough and safe enough for you to hear your own voice again.

Spaces where there is freedom.
Freedom to remember who you are.
Freedom to rediscover parts of yourself that may have gotten buried under responsibility or expectation.
Freedom to explore what actually makes you feel alive.

Freedom to dance.
Freedom to say no.
Freedom to exist in your body exactly as it is.

Sometimes that space is a yoga class — a room full of people breathing together, arriving from the chaos of their day.

Sometimes it’s a teacher training — weeks or months of conversation and exploration, watching someone slowly realize that their voice matters, that their presence has power, that they’re capable of more than they thought.
And sometimes it’s a retreat somewhere far from home.

A villa in Tuscany.
A riad in Marrakech.
A tent beneath the Saharan stars.

Meals stretch into long conversations. Laughter echoes through hallways. Insight appears quietly, sometimes unexpectedly.

The location changes.

But the essence of the work never does.

What I love — what I think might actually be my art form — is creating the container where these moments can happen.

Not forcing transformation.
Not manufacturing breakthroughs.

Just creating a space that is safe enough, curious enough, and alive enough for people to see themselves more clearly.

For a long time I knew I felt like an artist… and also a little bit like a fraud. Because when people think of artists they think of paint or canvas or charcoal.

But eventually I realized something.
My medium isn’t paint.
My medium is curiosity, wonder, and awe.
Art can look like a lot of things, turns out.

I notice patterns.
I follow resonance.
I refine things based on intuition, aesthetics, and creativity.

When something feels alive, I follow it.
And slowly — over sixteen years — that process created something I never could have designed with a rigid plan:

The Yoga Underground.

Not a perfectly linear business model.
A living ecosystem.
My brain works more like the night sky.
Constellations lighting up.
Patterns connecting.
Ideas evolving organically.

Curiosity → experimentation → resonance → expansion.

Options.
Freedom.
Variety.
Playfulness.
Humor.
Sincerity.
Compassion.
Kindness.

And somewhere along the way I realized something:
This is the art I practice — creating spaces where people remember themselves.

with all my love <3
